NTUK UDEH ON WATCH LIST

Akpabio’s special adviser on political and legislative affairs and the man behind the eight for one initiative Akparawa Godwin Ntukudeh has been placed on check THE INK can report. Akparawa Ntukudeh is placed on watch by the governor because his utterances before being appointed an SA on politics were always overheating the polity. A very close aide to the governor who refused to be named said.

Ntukudeh is said to have been angry following the sack of Obong Umana Umana as the secretary to the state government. It could be recalled that shortly after Akpabio had bounced Umana from a meeting he (Akabio) held with the party (PDP) in the state upper week, Ntukudeh had invited the party for a meeting. The meeting it was learnt was to be used to redeem the then battered image of Umana after his humiliation by the governor before party exco and to also prevail on the party diplomatically on why Umana should be assisted to succeed Akpabio.

THE INK gathered that the said meeting did take place at the party office last Monday while the seal off of Obong Umana’s office was being executed by security forces. A source who was privy to the meeting said Ntukudeh came on a courtesy call. Our source maintained that the crux of the meeting was the need for the party and the state government to work in accord towards the progress and success of the Akpabio led government. Ntukudeh in that Monday meeting had sought for a synergy between the party and the Bureau of political and legislative affairs.  He made appeal for a cordial relationship between the party and the government.

Responding, Obong Paul Ekpo is said to have promised him that the PDP will do all it can to ensure there is that synergy between it and the government. The meeting was attended by all state officers of the party at the state party headquarters at Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo.

Meanwhile, due to the utterances of Ntukudeh were in some instances, he is said to be backing Obong Umana Umana for the 2015 guber, a very close aide to the governor had informed THE INK that the Governor Godswill Akpabio had directed that Ntukudeh and his activities should be seriously monitored so that he does not introduce the Umana Umana agenda into the state exco and other institutions of the state.

Political sources said, Ntukudeh had gotten wind of this development and has since watch his tongue “infact that is why when he met with party exco last Monday, he refused cleverly not to join political issues but had rather solicited for a synergy between the government and the party as if that  has not been happening before”. A reliable party officer from Uyo Senatorial District had informed.
