Onofiok Luke feeds over five thousand, donates bus for Evangelism


Youths of Qua Iboe Church of Nigeria weekend were filled with smiles as they were one brand new 18 sitter bus richer courtesy of the member representing Nsit Ubium in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly Hon Onofiok Luke. 

The Nsit Ubium born lawmaker who attended the 2013 annual convention of the youth fellowship of the church which was held at Onna and tagged whose son are you, youngman also donated two big cows in addition to over a million naira cash for their feeding throughout their  2013 convention period. Luke who declared the event open called on the youths to always seek the face of God in all they do. He maintained that it is by them seeking the face of God that God will hear their prayers and grant their desires. He called on the youths to at all time show respect to constituted authorities as according to him, when you Obey the Elders that means you are showing obedience to God.

Hon Luke challenged the youths to ensure that they always do what is right in the sight of God and urged them to ensure that they allow the teachings of the convention to do remarkable things in their lives. He described this year’s theme as very timely as according to him youths ought to at all times discover their heavenly father and who he is. He said youths will go places if they discover who their father is; stressing that son and daughters of God should always live in a Godly manner.

He spoke against societal ills and encouraged the youths to shun cultism, immorality, prostitution and all characters that are ungodly in the sight of God. He solicited for prayers for the nation, state and the Local Government areas. He reiterated that God has blessed Akwa Ibom and will not let her down in all the things they do. He prayed for journey mercies for the youths and maintained that he will always do good to all the people irrespective of age, sex and religion and tasked the youth leaders on selfless service maintaining that the reward of leaders are in the hands of God.

The youth leaders while thanking God for the live of the Nsit Ubium lawmaker added that God will continue to reward and bless the former university student leader. They promised to ensure that they follow the footsteps of Christ and prayed God to bless Onofiok Luke and his family.

One of the youths who attended the convention Ekerette Umoh described Hon Luke as an Elder brother worth emulating. He said Luke has demonstrated that he is a youth leader par excellence. He prayed God’s blessings to abundantly over flow in the life of the lawmaker and all he touches to do as well as all that which has to do with him.
