The
State Commissioner for works Mr. Don Etim has said that the people of
Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area are solidly behind the Governor
Godswill Obot Akpabio whom he described as God’s special gift to the
people of the state and Nigerians in general.
Etim
informed our reporter that it is the position of the people that they
will support the Governor to the very end of his administration and
beyond. He maintained that the leadership of the Governor is a noble one
that has led to the liberation of the people. He called on the people
to be united and steadfast as according to him it is with unity that
more successes will be recorded in the different sectors of the
society.
He
posited that the people of the Local Government Area will do all they
can to send Akpabio to another position of political calling after his
services to the people of the state noting that the people of Ikot
Ekpene Senatorial District needs a leader in the mould of the state
Governor whom he described as a man that understands the language of
qualitative leadership.
He warned the people against divisive politics in the area observing that, it will not do anybody any good and however called on the people of the state to join hands with the Governor to move the state to an enviable height.
The works commissioner reiterated the determination of the state Government to ensure that he delivers quality service to the people.
