Woman activist drums up support for Udom Emmanuel, ors
A front line female political activist in  the state and President of Iman Ibom Peculiar Women’s Forum, Nsidibe Obot, has called on women in the state to massively support the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the state, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel.

Obot, who is also one of the women leaders of Always Ibom Consolidation Alliance (ACA) in Etinan local government area and served as an adhoc delegate during the last series of primaries of the PDP gave the call recently in a Congratulatory message to the winners of the primaries. She said Emmanuel’s victory at the primaries did not come as a surprise to the women of the state.
She called on supporters of the Udom Emmanuel project to disregard current efforts by some aspirants who had lost out to discredit the process and urged them to continue mobilising ahead of the general elections. “Udom Emmanuel has always been the man to beat, and we were all witnesses to his landslide victory at the primaries.

There is nothing new with some disgruntled aspirants challenging the process, but I would rather urge them to team up with the winner and work together to build a greater Akwa Ibom state. For us, there is no going back.”

The ACA woman leader also congratulated the PDP flagbearers for Etinan state constituency, Barr. Aniefiok Dennis, Etinan federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Sam Ikon and Uyo senatorial district, Obong Bassey Albert, adding, “I am confident that they represent a new dimension in our politics and have the capacity to give our people quality representation.”

She promised that the women of Etinan would give them massive support at the forthcoming general elections.
