5 village youths in Eket visits motherless home
Youths of Mobil Airstrip Community  under the aegis of 5 Villages Youth Movement on Friday visited the motherless babies home located at Idua in Eket with gift items worth hundred of thousands of Naira.

Presenting the items which included baby foods, toiletries, clothes, food items and cash, the President General of the group Deacon Samuel Etukudo said the gesture was a way of thanking God for His mercies on the lives of members and for giving hope to the children that God loves them.

The youth leader harped on the need for well to do individuals in the society to remember the less privileged amongst them and to always appreciate the goodness of the Lord by cultivating the habit of giving.

He commended the care givers in the home for their diligent efforts in caring for the children, stressing that it is God who will reward them for their dedication to the service of humanity.

Deacon Etukudo predicted that some of the children in the home most of who are boys will become great men and movers of the world in their respective callings.

“No matter the circumstance that brought these children here, I want to say that many of them here will be prominent men and women who will impact positively on the world in their respective calling and God will bless you the care givers”, Etukudo said.

Receiving the items, the matron in charge Miss Uduakobong Asuquo thanked the group for their magnanimity and prayed God to bless them in return.

She said the home was maintained by Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited but that individual and group donation goes along way in helping the children.

“Some of the children were abandoned and some lost their mothers at birth but we take care of them as our personal children because children are precious gifts from God”, Miss Asuquo said.

Those in the visit includes Deacon Samuel Etukudo, President, Mr. Victor Sam Ekpa, Vice President, Inyang Inyang, Secretary, Elder Sunday O. Akpe, Christopher Jack, Friday Okon Akpe, Ime Nku, Emem E. Udo, Johnson E. Johnson, Uduak O. Edward, Comfort Solomon, Victor Umoh, Aniefiok Isaac, Emmanuel Udo, Obong Attang Nssien and Cletus Thompson.
