More A’Ibom women assure Akpabio’s wife, “Our PVCs are intact for PDP”

The grassroots meet  the women campaign tour by the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio Wednesday, recorded a huge success in Oruk Anam, Ukanafun, Etim Ekpo and Ika as the women of the areas assured the governor’s wife that thier permanent t voter cards, PVC, were all intact for the PDP.

Speaking at the Ikot Ibritam council headquarters, venue of the campaign rally for Oruk Anam, representatives of the women including the wife of the council chairman, Mrs. Edima Anthony Akpan, wife of the deputy speaker, Lady Ime Kierian, Wife of the paramount ruler of the area Obongawan Lady Owoto, among others, said they were satisfied at the numerous achievement recorded by the PDP-led administration in the state and appreciated Mrs. Akpabio for bringing women to political relevance in the society.
In their goodwill messages, the chairman of Oruk Anam, Mr. Anthony Akpan and a political chieftain of the area, Sir. Vitalis Unang, the Special Adviser, Bureau of Labour and Public Service Matters, Mr. Godwin Udom , assured that Oruk Anam was solidly behind the PDP and will return a hundred percent votes to the party in the forthcoming elections.

Addressing the women, the governor’s wife, Mrs. Unoma Akpabio thanked the women of the area for remaining steadfast to the PDP led government and enjoined them to turnout enmassse on the day of the election to cast their votes for the victory of President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr . Udom Emmanuel, Chief Godswill Akpabio and other candidates of the party for the sustenance of the   transformation agenda of the PDP government.

She advised them not to allow opposition political parties to deceive them with deceptive promises of change as according to her, no other political party has the interest of the state at heart other than the ruling party.

She used the opportunity to introduce the wife of the PDP governorship candidate, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel  and solicited their support for the victory of Mr. Udom Emmanuel at the poll.

Also addressing the women, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel who describe her visit to Oruk Anam as a homecoming, told the women that a vote for the PDP in all the elective position will  bring about the sustenance of the uncommon transformation of the state.

She promised to sustain the laudable programmes of Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akapbio in the area of women empowerment .
At the Ukanafun council hall, venue for the Ukanafun rally the women of the area speaking through the wife of their chairman Mrs. Uduak Udokang, wife of the House of Assembly member Deaconess Unyime Akpan and some stakeholders, including the Commissioner for Lands And Town Planning, Obong Eno Akpan, House Of Assembly Member Mr Aniekan Akpan, Council Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Udokang and Special Adviser Bureau Of Investment and Industrialisation, Chief Senas Ukpanah, pledged to ensure a resounding victory for the PDP.

They declared that Ukanafun has no political party other than the PDP, maintaining that their Permanent Voter Cards were intact for the ruling party.
Same assurance by the women was recorded in Ika when the Governor’s wife visited to canvass support for candidates of the PDP.

Speaking at the unity hall of the council secretariat in Urua Iinyang, wife of the local government chairman, Mrs. Esther Enyiekere, State Assistant Financial Secretary of PDP, Mrs. Victoria Thomas Former Commissioner for Health, Dr. Louisa Ukpeh and wife of the House of Assembly Member, Mrs Dorcas Toby, said that the women of the area had already resolved to vote the PDP in the Election.

Giving support to the women, the Chairman of Ika, Mr. Saviour Enyiekere, Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Barr Uwemedimoh Nwoko and the House Of Assembly Member for Ika and Etim Ekpo, Mr. Gabriel Toby commended Mrs. Akpabio for being supportive of her husband and re-assured of the preparedness of the electorate in the area to vote enmasse for all candidates of the PDP.

At the Utu-Etim Ekpo council headquarters in Etim Ekpo, it was a carnival like rally as the women of the area came out in large numbers to receive the first lady and her entourage to their domain.

In their speech, the wife of the local government chairman, Mrs. Udout Jack, Wife of Special Duties Commissioner, Mrs. Ann Enoidem, wife of a political chieftain in the area lady Aniefiok Akpan, and representative of the wives of  traditional rulers Obonganwan Atim Ebong, re-echoed the resolve of Etim Ekpo women to fly with PDP in appreciation of the numerous achievements of the present administration.
