Uyo Ward 4 pledges to vote PDP en-masse

In a bid to ensure that the  ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) clings all the elective positions in the forth coming elections, the International President of Akwa Ibom Ofon ama Initiative and  the youth president of Itaim Etoi, Amb. Ukai Emmanuel yesterday gathered youth leaders from his ward, Uyo ward 4 to strategize on how they will ensure that the PDP sweeps all the 12 polling units under the ward.

The meeting took place at Mr. Ukai Emmanuel’s Itiam Etoi residence; the meeting had ten representatives from each of the 12 units who came out to dialogue and plan on how to deliver their respective units. In his opening remarks, the convener of the meeting, Mr. informed the house that it is mandatory that PDP win in all the 12 units of Uyo ward 4 on Saturday during the Presidential, Senate and Federal House of Assembly elections.

He added that the president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has done enough to merit a second term in office while also drumming support for Udom Emmanuel and other candidates of the PDP; he noted that as a member of the PDP it was his responsibility to ensure that the party wins in his ward and also canvass for votes in favour of the PDP since it is the only party that has genuine interest and love for the people of Nigeria.

He said that he had been meeting with the people of the various units for more than five months now but noted that Monday’s meeting was important and crucial since it was the last to be held before the general elections.
In their response, members present at the meeting commended Mr. Ukai for always being there to lead the people of Uyo ward 4 especially during elections, they promised to work unanimously for the ruling party and ensure her overwhelming success at the polls.

Speaking for the people of Mbiabong which for units, Prince Ubong Willy promised PDP of total success in the four units, he added that they were convinced that Mr. Ukai was a motivating factor in their decision to support the ruling party.

Ifure Uwem and Mkpongenyong Edet spoke for Itiam and Ifa Ikot Okpon respectively, they also promised to work wholeheartedly for the PDP during and after the elections. Otobong Edet also made it clear that the one unit in Obio Etoi will return PDP one hundred percent.
