At last the messiah is here!

At last the messiah is here!
BY UBONGABASI EKOM

“I had learned from years of experience with men that when a man really desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win” (Thomas Edison)

The saying “don’t despise the little beginning” is said to galvanize momentum in Akwa Ibom State. Like Jesus who was born in a manger with crown of glories on his head and scepter of power in His hand but see not by the affluent and men of dignity but the poor wise men. The royal rumble of who becomes the first image in the State is ongoing, the die is cast, the dust is raised, but who is the anointed one? Let us not forget in a hurry what transpired in the house of Jesse when the quest of who should lead Israel was imperative. So many aspirants from Jesse’s loin lined up for the anointing but sad to say that non of them with self glory and egoism qualified.

It was unbelievable and shocking even to Prophet Samuel, the Priest, as the little David who was not remembered as Jesse’s, son, forgotten in the bush as a son; repudiated, abnegated, abjured and jettisoned as a member of the family became the anointed. The people of Akwa Ibom State, we don’t need money to be Governor. We don’t need population or tall and intimidating degrees. What we need is God. When God says yes who is there to say no!

Let me shock you a bit. The way it happened in the David’s era, it will happen again. We have seen the caliber of people coming up for the contest and also 70% of percent have thrown in the towel that it is Mr. A. Don’t worry, the battle is not for the strong nor for the swift, but it is for him whom God has shown mercy to. The Governorship of Akwa Ibom State in this struggle and the destiny of the state lie in the hand of a young man who is not known, very unpopular, another biblical David, his name is Dr. Effiong Ekaeba.

Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), this David of our time hails from Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. A Chartered Environmentalist of high repute, who has discovered the needs of Akwa Ibom People. What Akwa Ibom people need now for the progress of our State is not party manifestoes but individual manifestoes and identity. The leadership role is a sensitive one that must be given to him that is filled with the milk of human sympathy and imbued with the love of peace and unity. Dr. Effiong Ekaeba understands that any person who wishes to lead a state or nation must be ready to eat with the poor, the rich, and the middle class. Such person must be ready to divide himself as many there are individuals in his state or nation.

Dr. Ekaeba knows that the greatest service a leader can do to the led is to create an atmosphere for individual freedom, individual survival and individual self- realization and actualization. He holds as a philosophy that to build a great nation requires altruistic sacrifices from the nationals, corporate bodies, aggregate individuals and every citizen. His belief lies on the three solid pillars on which a great nation is built which are: sound economy, good educational system, honest, sincere and pragmatic leadership. Dr. Ekaeba understands that a wise state should devote much of her funds in training peaceful, lovable and industrious citizens than in grooming militant and aggressive warriors.

The good people of Akwa Ibom State, what then do you want me to say. I have presented to you this excellent mind, having known that any state that wishes to kiss success, prosperity and greatness, should think out the best possible means to enthrone excellent mind, a foresighted leader and a manager for excellent, talented democrat and scientist with patriotic motivation.

My people arise, arise and arise! Your light has come. If you had already made up your minds out of ignorance, it’s never too late to change. It is never too late to vomit what you had eaten. I give to you a messiah who will wipe your tears who understands and can easily decode a face of hunger, one with a big ear to hear the language of hunger, one who knows that no matter the digital or uncommon infrastructure, the best is job opportunities for all. Vote Dr. Effiong Ekaeba for Governor, Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) comes 11th April, 2015. “How far most suffering and misery go before we see that even in the day of vast cities and powerful machines, the good earth is our mother and that if we destroy her, we destroy ourselves?” Paul Bigelow Sears.
