AKBC ends Promise Hunt, Friday

Contestants demonstrating their skills in bicycle stints at the Ibom Promise Hunt

The grand finale of  ‘Promise Hunt’, a  talent discovery competition organized by Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation comes up on Friday this week. The event taking place at Sir Udo Udoma House along Udo Udoma Avenue will begin at 9.00 am. The contest which began in Uyo on the 14th of September, later moved to Ikot Ekpene on the 16th and Eket on the 18th has produced talents in the different aspects of performing arts.

Friday’s event will be the battle for the car star prize among the participants who survived the eviction show.
Star prize aside, other items like LED TVs, Home Theatre Sets, Refrigerators and cell phones will be won as consolation prizes.
The show will be beamed LIVE on AKBC TV, channel 45 and on Startimes Channel 113.
Meanwhile the Director General of the Corporation, Pastor Anietie Ukpe said the show was another way by the Corporation to discover talents and encourage them to rise to stardom. He announced this when he declared the contest open last week.
Pastor Ukpe said the show would be an annual event and advised contestants to be in their elements.
