Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Aide on Research and Documentation, Mr Emmanuel Nicholas has pleaded with members of his community to exercise patience, assuring that, Verini will complete the construction 16.7 kilometer Road in record time of 18 months .
Mr Nicholas who is also the Crown Prince of Central Uruan over the weekend assured the people of his community that Governor Udom Emmanuel is not playing politics with projects
Emmaniel who hails from Nung Oku Uruan, one of the communities who are core beneficiaries of the project reminded his people that it was in 2013 that Governor Udom Emmanuel promised to constrruct the road while he came to represent his predeseesor Senator Akpabio to commission some projects at Idagha Grammar Secondary School , Nung Oku Uruan .
After witnessing the deplorable State of the Road, Udom promised the community that if he is elected a Governor in the State ,he will construct the Road. As a promise keeper the governor has awarded contract for the construction of the road, Nicholas said.
He therefore pleaded with Verini construction to take advantage of the dry season and speed up the space of work , to avoid delays in the coming rainy Season .
The Special Assistant to Governor was hosting the widows of Central Uruan Ward 3 in his hometown to brief them on plans for his upcoming birthday celebration on the 25th December 2016, which he disclosed will spread to all the widows in the 11 Wards of Uruan Local Government .
Mr Nicholas who celebrates all his birthday with widows of his community by giving bags of rice ,wrappers and cash to the less privileged, (mostly widows and widowers), set up a committee to help in identifying widows across Uruan Local Government for this year’s celebrarion .
The PDP Woman Leader of Ward 3 Mrs Arit Bassey who was part of the meeting thank Governor Udom Emmanuel for awarding the contract for the construction of the Road ,and she also praise the governor’s wife, Deconess Martha Udom Emmanuel over the free interest loan she secured for over five thousand women across the State .
The woman leader promise that the people of Uruan local Government Area will give 100% votes to Governor Udom Emmanuel come 2019 .
