The people of Ikot Abasi Federal constituency, in a meeting, convened by a frontline bussinessman, the managing Director of ACSE Nig. LTD and a two-time Central Bank Of Nigeria CBN Award winner, Hon. They resolved to encourage and support their brothers , to rally round them and especially pray for their protection and enablement for more dividends of democracy in the area and the state at large.

Amidst thunderous ovations, they poured encomiums and lavished praises upon Ekefre, describing him as a true statesman, thanking him for the initiative.

Some of those who spoke in high spirit  were the immidiate past member representing the state constituency in the 5th Assembly, Hon. They noted that with the massive road rehabilitation in the federal constituency and across the state, with its attendant job creation effect for the teeming youths and a boost of the state economy by the NDDC, under the management of their son, they owe Obong Ekere, an endless debt of gratitude even as they praised Ekefre for bringing them together to appreciate their deserving son and to chart a new course for the development and unification of the Federal constituency.
