Gabriel Etim emerges Patron of Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five …sues for support for Gov. Emmanuel beyond 2019

The chairmanship aspirants in Abak Local Government Area under the People Democratic Party (PDP), Obong Iberedem Gabriel Etim  has been conferred Patron of Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five.  Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five is socio-political organization in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.  

Chairman of the group, Adede Inemesit Akpan, who led other executives for the investiture ceremony during a courtesy visit on Obong Etim at Gabriel Etim Avenue, Abak at the weekend said the investiture of Obong Iberedem Gabriel Etim as the patron was in recognition of his contributions to the youths development, social economic cum - political environment and humanity. 

He said that persons of credible characters are selected to association as their backbone added that Obong Etim happens to be the best amongst all the patrons of the association because he is well vested with the knowledge of the association in past, present and can chart a way forward for a better future for the group. 


“This stems from the fact that he is the only patron so far who knows about Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five past, present and could successfully chart its future being that he was a former youths leader, currently the financial secretary of Ujo Afaha Obong the strongest socio-political organization Annangland. 

He noted that the conferment of patronship of the association on Obong Iberedem Gabriel Etim is well deserved. Responding, Obong Iberedem Etim appreciated Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five for seeing him worthy for the position. He said as a youth activist, he will continue to support youths activities/programmes in the area. The chairmanship hopeful officially declared to the group that, he is seeking for the elected chairmanship position in Abak Local Government Area and called for their full support to make it a reality. 

“I will embark on sensitization to preach the gospel of youth engagement in positive strides for the wellbeing of the large society.” Obong Iberedem said he will add his quota to the advancement of the group and will help the group to the greater height. Goodwill messages was the one from councillorship aspirant in Afaha Obong Ward II, Akparawa Edidiong Uko, who described Obong Iberedem Gabriel Etim as a man with great antecedent and worthy of the position. 

He also thanked Ujo Mkparawa Abak Five for the right choice and assured the group of her positive strides with Obong Iberedem Gabriel Etim as patron. Separately speaking, Hon. Eseme Essien, Hon. Udeme Umanah, Hon. Dan Udo, Hon. (Elder) Augustine Udofia, Hon. Aniebiet Sampson, Hon. Ifiok Inen Ekpo among others described investiture of Obong Etim as patron of the group as well deserved and promised to work with him to realized in political ambition during the forthcoming local government election.
