Atiku Abubakar, a credible alternative for 2019 – Otuekong Ibiok

As mobilization and electioneering towards the 2019 Presidential Election gears up, the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator of Atiku Abubakar 2019 Campaign Organization, Otuekong Emmanuel Ibiok, has said the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is unstoppable in the state and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar its credible alternative.

In a release from the State Media Directorate of the organization, Otuekong Ibiok, grassroots mobilizer, founding member of PDP in Akwa Ibom and former Commissioner, said “looking at a lot of odds in their perspectives, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the only aspirant that has tested and proven capacity, political structure and goodwill for the 2019 presidency.”

Speaking in Uyo shortly after his routine mobilization of the people of Ikot Okpudo Ubium in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise, Otuekong Ibiok assured the people of the organization’s commitment to enhance service delivery, having shared in the strong current of opinion that PDP was turbocharged in ensuring that the party takes over power at the centre come 2019 and Governor Udom Emmanuel reelected as Governor.

Otuekong Ibiok applauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for his developmental strides, saying “I am totally in support of the popular opinion that the Governor has done creditably well and should continue in office come 2019.”

The State Coordinator of the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization spoke extensively on a range of issues in the country and the need for the people to maximally take advantage of the ongoing CVR, adding “We are determine to change the narrative and we will continue to work closely with the eligible voters who are predominantly found at grassroots to ensure that we achieve our goals and also reelect Governor Udom Emmanuel as Governor in 2019. We intend to build upon this exercise to our success.”

“Our concern is on how to increase our stakes in the voters’ registration exercise and that can only be done by mobilizing our people to get registered and have the opportunity to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming general elections,” Otuekong Ibiok explained.

He also called for complete synergy from all intending and existing political groups working for the actualization of the Atiku Abubakar 2019, saying “We will ensure no energy is spared in our collaborative efforts. We are all stakeholders and no effort from any person or group is small. Our aim is to consolidate on the clearly outlined vision of the Organization for Nigeria.”

“Though Akwa Ibom is fully a PDP State, we will not take to chance our walk to landslide victory. We will strive to make sure democracy is deepened in Akwa Ibom and in Nigeria,” he stressed.
